Leyletts design and manufacturer Reverse Air Bag Filter/ Baghouse Cleaning Systems for the Processing and manufacturing sectors.
The principal method of how a reverse air bag house works is the dirty air particles that have been extracted by the filter system enter the bag house and pass through the baffle duct, this process reduces wear to the filter bags, because there is no direct attrition caused by the fast moving air. Secondly the baffle duct minimises turbulence within the bag house and allows some of the particles settle within the hopper thus minimising the loading onto the bags.
The filter bags are suspended from the cell plate and the type and amount of filter media that is required is determined by many factors such as the type of material being processed, operating temperature and the process. The bags are cleaned automatically through a low maintenance cleaning mechanism that introduces clean air at atmospheric pressure into the selected chamber of bags that is determined by the plenum/cleaning mechanism. The effect of introducing this air into the negative air pressure environment that exists within the bag house causes the bags to balloon and reverses the air flow. Thus the “reverse air” effect gives an effective and non-aggressive clean down of the filter media resulting in extended filter bag life that is not achieved by other methods. The plenum is mounted within the clean top section of the bag filter the drive and indexing parts are concealed beneath a guard on top of the bag filter for ease of maintenance and inspection. The waste material that is recycled falls down into a hopper and is discharged out by the means of a screw conveyor.
These filters are intended for use in industry for the recovery of dry dust, Powder, Fume etc.. and the recovered material can be returned back into the process or collected/removed for disposal. The purpose of the bag filter is to prevent dirty particles/fumes from being emitted into the atmosphere. The emissions from these bag houses/filter are considerably less than that required air pollution authorities.
